The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 119 dated 6.5.2008 registered u/s 498-A/406 IPC at P.S. Urban Estate, Rohtak. The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent No.2 alleging that she had been maltreated and her dowry articles had been misappropriated.
The marriage has now been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent. A copy of the compromise has been placed on record. The parties have already appeared and made statement regarding matter having been compromised before the District Judge.
In view of the above circumstances, the matrimonial controversy having been resolved, the petition is allowed, the above said FIR along with all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom, are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
