Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, Ajit Singh, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Sections 379, 411, 190, 120-B, 186 IPC, in a case arising out of FIR No.139, dated 31.05.2014, registered at Police Station, Rama Mandi, Distt. Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Satnam Singh, states that in compliance of the order dated 04.07.2014 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation on 15.07.2014 and at this stage, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required .

In view of the totality of the facts and circumstances of the case, order dated 04.07.2014 passed by this Court whereby the ad-interim anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner isGAURAV 2014.09.27 12:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

made absolute. The petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the conditions as envisaged under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C, which reads as under:-

i. a condition that the person shall make himself/themselves available for interrogation by Police Officer as and when required;

¶22

ii.a condition that the person shall not, directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer;

¶23

iii.a condition that the person shall not leave India without the previous permission of the Court

¶24

iv.such other condition as may be imposed under sub section (3) of Section 437, as if the bail were granted under that section.

However, the petitioner is at liberty to file fresh bail

¶26

bonds after presentation of the challan.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of.
