night at about 10.00 p.m., complainant's wife Priya called him over phone and told him to pay the money, otherwise she would commit suicide after jumping in the Gurudwara Ganga River. To arrange money, they had searched the cash lying in the Godrej almirah in the house and found that black colour bag containing 20 Tolas gold and cash was missing. They searched about the cash and ornaments and called Priya on her phone, but the same was found switched off. Thereafter, they enquired about Parveen Kumar son of Mulk Raj and relative of Priya, who used to come to their house and found that he was also missing from his house. On the next day, parents of Priya came to complainants' house and forcibly demanded 1 Crore from them. On this, the complainant's family paid 50,000/- to them and they returned to their house. Thereafter, they had got the call details of Priya and found that she had made 2008 calls to Parveen Kumar and solemnized second marriage with him and was roaming freely with him after wearing bridal bangles. In this manner, she had violated the law by solemnizing the second marriage without getting divorce and her mother and father by threatening them and by getting money had harassed them. Now with the intervention of respectable persons of the locality, the parties have entered into a compromise in the divorce petition pending at Kapurthala and on the basis of the said compromise, the same has been withdrawn and both the parties have settled all their disputes and they have no objection if the FIR and subsequent proceedings are quashed. Now both the parties are residing with peace and harmony and they have no grudge against each other.
