Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Ms. Shivali, AAG, Punjab who is present in the Court accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Copy of the paper book supplied to him.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 25.3.2014 (Annexure P/4 ) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that date of birth of petitioner No.1-Amitoj Kaur is 19.7.1991 and date of birth of petitioner No.2Amandeep Singh is 23.12.1985. They got married on 25.3.2014. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.
In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala to look into the representation dated 25.3.2014 (Annexure P4) and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
