By way of this petition, petitioner seeks consideration of his case for special remission as granted to other convicts while on bail as per policy of the State Government and in view of judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No. 910% 919/2001% Joginder Singh versus State of Punjab decided on 11.9.2001.
As agreed, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation before the appropriate authority and if such a representation is made, the appropriate authority shall hear the petitioner and pass appropriate order thereon as expeditiously as possible.
