In the present writ petition, the claim made is for regularisation of service and also grant of pay scales of Water Pump Operators instead of Water Pump Operator (Helper).
The writ petition was admitted on 1.10.2001.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that after filing of the present petition, the petitioners have got a legal notice dated 19.10.2012 issued to the respondents. The petitioners would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the respondents to take a final decision on the claim made by the petitioners in the aforesaid legal notice.
Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that he has no objection to the prayer of the petitioners being granted to the extent that the claim made by the petitioners in the legal notice shall be considered by the competent authority in accordance with law.

Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to take a final decision on the claim made by the petitioners in the legal notice dated 19.10.2012 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
