Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from Head Constable Davinder Singh, Office of Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, submits that in compliance of the order dated 30.10.2013 passed by this Court, relevant record was considered and it has been found that petitioner was promoted as Inspector of Police w.e.f. 16.9.1990 whereas his junior, i.e. respondent No.5, Sh. Ravinder Kumar Bakshi came to be promoted w.e.f. 22.9.1992. He further submits that later on, the petitioner was promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police and now he is working as Superintendent of Police. He concluded by submitting that in view of the above said development having taken place, the present writ petition does not survive any further and may be disposed of, as having been rendered
infructuous.

Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioner could not deny the correctness of the statement made by the learned counsel for the State.
