The petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider her for promotion to the post of Lecturer and grant her pay scale on the basis of her qualifications.
The writ petition was admitted on 29.04.1993 and practically more than 20 years have passed thereafter. The counsel for the petitioner is not sure as to whether the petitioner has been promoted or not but it appears that during such a long period of 20 years, she might have been promoted. Therefore, the present writ petition is dismissed as infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to get it revived by filing an application, if the cause of action still survives.
