Sat Paul Sharma Vs State of Punjab & Ors.

This petition has been filed for issuance of directions to the respondents to release interest @ 18% per annum on the delayed payment of pensionary benefits specially in respect of leave encashment, G.P. Fund etc.

Learned counsel states that he would be satisfied if in the first instance his petition may be allowed to supplement the representation and a direction is issued to the respondent No.1 to decide the same by passing a speaking order thereon within any reasonable time.

I find this to be a fair request. Resultantly, the respondent No.1 is directed to treat this petition as a representation and decide the said representation within a period of two months by passing a speaking order thereon from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
