The petitioner purchased plot No.228-F, measuring 500 square yards in Maharishi Balmik Nagar, Ludhiana which was originally allotted to Rur Singh being local displaced person. He has now been served with a letter/notice dated 17.5.2013 (Annexure P-9) demanding an additional amount of Rs.10,05,860/- towards allotment price of the plot, out of which a substantial part of the amount is statedly due to increase in the compensation amount. The petitioner claims that the amount so demanded is contrary to the agreed terms and conditions of allotment. If that is so, we dispose of this writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to submit a comprehensive reply to the above-mentioned letter/notice which shall be considered and disposed of by the Improvement Trust, Ludhiana, in accordance with law as early as possible but not later than two months from the date of its
CWP No.11930 of 2013 [2] submission. Meanwhile, the petitioner may deposit the demanded amount without prejudice to his legal rights.
