The petitioner seeks a direction to the Improvement Trust, Jalandhar for handing-over the possession of plot No.25 measuring one kanal in 13.37 Acres Development Scheme known as Guru Ravidass Nagar, Jalandhar which is allegedly in unauthorized possession of respondent No.6.

It is averred that though in terms of the orders dated 21.11.2003 and 19.5.2006 passed by this Court on the basis of statement made by the parties in CWP No.5052 of 2003 (J.P.Singh and another versus State of Punjab and others) to which the petitioner was also a party, the possession of the afore-stated plot was required to be handed-over to the petitioner after the decision of the civil suit which has been decided in favour of the Improvement Trust upto the High

Court, but the possession of the plot is still not delivered. It is further averred that the eviction proceedings under the Public Premises Act, initiated against respondent No.6, are being unnecessarily adjourned.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the nature of dispute between the petitioner and respondent No.6, we are not inclined to express any opinion on merits of the lis as the respondents are not being heard at this stage. However, if the above-stated facts are true and some eviction proceedings are pending against respondent No.6, we direct the authority concerned to dispose of those proceedings expeditiously and in accordance with law as early as possible but not later than four months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. Dasti.
