Petitioner is seeking direction to the respondents to decide his application for his release on furlough, which is pending with the authorities from the third week of May 2013. It is stated that as per Section 4 of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1988, the petitioner is eligible to get the above said relief. His application was entertained and was sent to the competent authority on 24.5.2013. However, till now no action has been taken.
Taking note of above facts, we dispose of this petition by issuing directions to respondent No.2 to take note of and decide application, filed by the petitioner (if any). Needful shall be done within three weeks, as per law, from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
