Pawan , the petitioner had brought this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for release of the detenues named in para no.4 of the petition from illegal custody of respondents no.5 to 8.
Vide order dated 17.01.2013, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana was directed to submit a report in this regard.
Reply by way of affidavit of Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana has been filed, which is taken on record. In the report it is stated that the persons mentioned at serial no. 9 to 16 and 18 to 26, who expressed their desire to go to their native village had been got released, were taken to railway station and were made to board a train for U.P. The other persons at serial no.1 to 8 and 17 were stated to have already left the brick kiln and they were not found there.

In this view of the matter, since the detenues have been released, no further action is required in the matter. The petition is consequently disposed of as having become infructuous.
