The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure for directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of premature release as per Govt. Instructions dated 08.08.2011 (Annexure P-1).
It has been stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that he be permitted to withdraw the present petition as the same has become infructuous in view of reply filed by the Deputy Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Home Affairs and Justice on behalf of respondent No.1-State.
