The present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of direction to respondent nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent nos.4 to 9.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners will be satisfied if respondent no.2, i.e., The Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, is directed to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on application, dated 20.4.2013, Annexure P4, already made to him by petitioner no.2.

As per averments made in the petition both the petitioners are major. Year of birth of petitioner no.1-Parminder Singh as per copy of Identity card issued by Unique Identification Authority of India, Annexure P1, is 1988, and year of birth of petitioner No.2- Gurpreet Kaur, as per copy of Identity card issued by Unique Identification Authority of India, Annexure P2, is 1992. They got married on 15.4.2012. Photographs of the marriage are Annexure P3.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised by the

petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2, i.e., Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on application, dated 20.4.2013, Annexure P4, already stated to have been moved to him by petitioner no.2.

However, it is made clear that this order will be having no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of petitioners and also on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against petitioner no.1 as per law.
