The present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of direction to respondent no.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents no.4 and 5. Heard.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners will be satisfied if respondent no.2, i.e., Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, is directed to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on application, dated 3.4.2013, Annexure P5, already made to him by the petitioners.

As per averments made in the petition both the petitioners are major. Date of birth of petitioner no.1-Manpreet Kaur, as per copy of Identify card issued by Election Commission of India, Annexure P2, is 22.4.1992, and date of birth of petitioner No.2- Balraj Singh, as per copy of Permanent Account Number, Annexure P3, is 2.7.1986. They got married on 3.4.2013, as per marriage certificate, Annexure P1. Photographs of the marriage are Annexure P4.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised by the petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2, i.e.,Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, to take appropriate action, in

accordance with law, on application, dated 3.4.2013, Annexure P5, already stated to have been moved to him by the petitioners.

However, it is made clear that this order will be having no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of petitioners and also on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against petitioner no.2 as per law.
