Appellant, Darshan Singh, has challenged the judgment of conviction and the order of sentence dated 21.01.2003 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, (Fast Track Court) Ferozepur, whereby he was held guilty for the offence punishable under Section 436, IPC, and was ordered to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six years besides payment of fine of ` 1,000/- and in default thereof, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for three months.
A report has been received from the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ferozepur, through the learned Sessions Judge, Ferozepur that appellant Darshan Singh, son of Sawan Singh, son of Boor Singh, has since died. The copy of death certificate has also been received.
In view of the report received, the present appeal abates.
Disposed of.
