Short reply by way of affidavit of Kamal Kumar, Director of Public Instructions (SE) Punjab, SAS Nagar, filed in court is taken on record.
Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the directions issued by this court on 8.5.2012 in CWP No. 8457 of 2012 has been complied with as necessary orders have been passed by the competent authority on 29.1.2013 (Annexure R-1) and in terms thereof, the benefits due to the petitioner shall be released within a period of one month.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondents, he does not wish to press the present petition at this stage. However, he be given liberty to get the contempt petition revived, in case the benefits are not paid within the time sought.
Ordered accordingly.
