Counsel for the State has placed on record the communication dated 2.1.2012 received from the Joint Director, Haryana State Counselling Society, Panchkula, according to which, approval for increase of two seats in Electrical Engineering Branch in Diploma (lateral entry) has been granted as a special case for the Session 2011-2012 only and admission of the petitioners Dinesh and Manjeet stand regularized. He, on this basis, contends that the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
A perusal of the order dated 29.11.2011 indicates that the petitioners were directed to be issued roll numbers and were permitted to appear in the examination provisionally subject to the outcome of the writ petition, to which counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have

indeed participated in the examination.
In view of the stand taken by the respondents that the admission of the petitioners has been regularized, it goes without saying that the result of the petitioners be declared as it would be a consequence of the regularization of the admission. The needful be done along with the other candidates of whom result had not been declared and if result of the other students had been declared, the result of the petitioners be declared within a period of three days from today.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed as infructuous.
