The petitioner claims to be the oustees of the Ranjit Sagar Dam Project. He is claiming the benefit under the rehabilitation & resettlement scheme dated 18.11.1993 (Annexure P-1).
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that the claim raised in the present petition would be squarely covered in terms of the judgment dated 26.11.2009 passed by this Court in CWP No.787 of 2009 Dharam Singh & others Vs. State of Punjab & others (Annexure P-4). Counsel further contends that the judgment rendered in Dharam Singh's case (Supra) stands affirmed upto the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
In the light of submissions made by the counsel for the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition in terms of granting liberty to the petitioner to file a detailed representation towards his grievance before the respondent/authorities. In the eventuality of any such representation being filed, the same shall be decided strictly in accordance with law and by passing a speaking order within a period of four months from the date of its submission.
Petition disposed of.
