Learned counsel for the State submitted that Mr. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Local Government Department, who had been summoned to appear in person in court is away to Delhi for some official work for the last three days. Mr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Director-cumSecretary, Local Government, Punjab is present in court in person. Learned counsel for the State has produced in court a copy of order passed by Secretary, Government of Punjab, Department of Local Government dated 21.8.2012, whereby transfer order of the petitioner from Sahnewal to Khanna has been cancelled.
In terms of the aforesaid order produced in court by learned counsel for the State, the prayer made in the present petition has been rendered infructuous. The petitioner, who was relieved from the post at Sahnewal shall be permitted to re-join.
The petition stands disposed of.
