Though this writ petition was continuously listed after 5.9.2011 but, in my view, the same was disposed of as having been rendered infructuous on the said date. On 5.9.2011, on the basis of statement made by the respondent-University, the Court passed the following order:-
“Counsel for the respondent-University states that after considering the sports achievements of the petitioner, the Vice Chancellor has created an additional seat, which shall be offered to the petitioner.
In view of the statement made by counsel for the

University, the present petition has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of accordingly.”
It is not understood as to how this writ petition is being
listed. The petitioner, at this stage, points out that despite this position, the petitioner did not seek admission to the College concerned as he has taken admission somewhere else.
This writ petition is accordingly rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such.
