During the course of preliminary hearing, a Coordinate Bench of this Court (Ranjit Singh, J.) passed the following order on March 16, 2012:-
“Says that the petitioner is not named in the FIR and no role is attributed to him. Also refers to an affidavit given by the complainant that the petitioner has not played any role.
Notice of motion for 18.4.2012.
In the meanwhile, in the event of arrest of the petitioner, he shall be released on anticipatory bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to the conditions contained in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He will join the investigation as and when required.”
