Present petition has been filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the grant of regular bail to the petitioner in a case arising out of FIR No.23, dated 11.3.2011, registered at Police Station PAU, Ludhiana, under Sections 380, 420, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is behind the bars since 10.5.2011 and till date, only one prosecution witness has been examined.
Keeping in view the fact that the trial is likely to take a long time to conclude, present petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana.
