During the course of preliminary hearing, a Coordinate Bench of this
Court (Ram Chand Gupta, J.), passed the following order on 5.1.2012:-
“Contends that present FIR is a result of matrimonial dispute between the brother of the petitioner and sister of the complainant. Further contends that it is a case of simple injury and that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case on the ground of said matrimonial dispute.
Notice of motion to Advocate General, Punjab for 24.1.2012.
However, in the meantime, petitioner is directed to join the investigation and in case he is arrested, he shall be released on interim bail by the Arresting Officer to his satisfaction subject to compliance of conditions specified under Section 438(2) Cr.PC.”
