Petitioners-Pardeep @ Kala and others, have instituted the instant petition for issuance of directions to the State of Haryana and the Director General of Police, Haryana, not to harass, humiliate and defame them and their family members, for committing murder of Gurdev @ Nanu and Karambir and to protect their lives and liberty. The petition was initially filed on 16.10.2008 (i.e. more than 3½ years ago). The perusal of the record would reveal that the petition was repeatedly adjourned, at the request of counsel for the petitioners. Ultimately, this old petition, at motion stage, was listed for hearing today.
Today again, learned counsel for the petitioners refused to argue the matter and pleads no instructions. Under these circumstances, no option is left with this Court except to dismiss the case for non-prosecution.
Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed for want of
