The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of FIR No.2 dated 1.1.2010 registered under Sections 365/120-B IPC at Police Station Shimlapuri, District Ludhiana and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 31.5.2011 (Annexure P-1) effected between the parties. Heard.
Parties are present in person and are duly identified by their
counsel.
Learned counsel for the petitioner placed on record compromise dated 31.5.2011 (Annexure P-1). Complainant Amarjit Singh has filed his affidvit, which is taken on reocrd, in which he has admitted the factum of compromise.
In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that no useful

purpose would be served in continuing the proceedings. Accordingly, this petition is allowed and FIR No.2 dated 1.1.2010 registered under Sections 365/120-B IPC at Police Station Shimlapuri, District Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed qua the petitioners.
