The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, (for short, 'the Cr.P.C.') is for quashing the FIR No.100 dated 16.05.2008, under Sections 302, 341, 34 IPC and Sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act, at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.
The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that in pursuance of the order dated 01.05.2012, the petitioner has appeared before the trial Court. Supplementary challan stands filed against him.
The order dated 01.05.2012 is made absolute.
However, no ground for quashing the FIR is made out.

As the co-accused has already been acquitted, the trial
Court shall make an endeavour to decide the case expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
