Present petition has been filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the grant of regular bail to the petitioner in a case arising out of FIR No.22, dated 15.3.2012, registered at Police Station Jodhan, Police District Ludhiana, under Sections 307, 323, 324. 341. 148. 149 of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner contends that the parties have amicably settled the matter and have entered into a written compromise. This fact has not been denied by learned Counsel for the State, who, after seeking instructions from ASI Malkiat Singh, states that the parties have compromised the matter.
In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is accepted and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana.
