The District Elementary Education Officer, Kaithal has filed the reply-affidavit alongwith a copy of the speaking order dated 9/11.5.2012 whereby selection grade has been granted to the petitioners (except petitioner No.7). The other petitioners have the grievance of the date of granting the selection grade as, according to them, such benefit ought to have been granted to them from the date when their juniors have been granted. Such a relief was expressly granted earlier. Liberty is granted to the petitioners to impugn the speaking order with reference to their aforementioned claim before an appropriate forum. It, however, deserves to be observed that the reply-affidavit is absolutely casual and cryptic. It does not refer to either the total cadre strength or the manner in which the selection grade has been determined. The respondents are directed to be careful in future, otherwise exemplary cost shall be imposed.
The contempt petition stands disposed of accordingly.
