(1). The petitioners are retired Lecturers/Senior Lecturers/ Head of Department of Khalsa College, Amritsar which receives 95% Grant-in-Aid from the State Government. The non-payment of various retiral benefits/arrears of pay etc. have led the petitioners to initiate these proceedings.

(2). The respondents have filed their reply/affidavit and the plea taken on behalf of the State Government is that whatever amount was due in terms of the Grant-in-Aid has been released in favour of the Management and as

per the report sent by the Principal of the College, the due payments have been made to the petitioners.

(3). Learned counsel for the petitioners. on the other hand, submits that some of the dues are yet to be released. (4). Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that a substantial part of the retiral dues has since been paid to the petitioners, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to make a joint or individual representation with details of the unpaid dues, to the DPI (Colleges), who in turn, shall consider and if so required get their claims verified from the College records through the Principal of the College. In case the petitioners are found entitled to any other additional payment(s), the Managing Committee/Principal of the College are directed to release the same, if to be paid by them only failing which the DPI (Colleges) shall deduct the amount to that extent from the Grant-in-Aid of the College and disburse the same directly to the petitioners within six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
