(1). The matter pertains to the claim for medical reimbursement. The petitioner is unfortunately suffering from cancer which is classified as a ‘complicated chronic disease’. There is no dispute that in terms of the Punjab Government Instructions dated 13.02.1995, the medical reimbursement is granted as per the rates prescribed by AIIMS, New Delhi and the actual cost of medicines is also reimbursed cent-percent.

(2). The respondents have come up with the plea that the petitioner’s medical claim has been settled and reimbursement made as per the prescribed criteria. Since the details of the payments made towards the medical reimbursement have not been furnished to the petitioner,

she is unable to explain as to how much bills have been actually reimbursed and how much amount she is still entitled to claim.

(3). The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondents to furnish the requisite bifurcated details of the payments already made to the petitioner towards medical reimbursement within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case the petitioner is dissatisfied with such details, liberty is granted to her to make another representation along with the supplementary claim, if any, which shall be considered sympathetically and disposed of as per Rules/policy at the earliest but not later than three months from the date of its submission.
