The prayer of the petitioner in the present petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 26.07.2011 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.3, vide which, the petitioner has been transferred to Bawal from Head Office Panchkula.
At the time of issuing notice of motion, it was noticed that the petitioner was transferred to Bawal where he was headed by a person junior to him. Today, after seeking clarification, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said ground does not exist.
Moreover, learned counsel for respondent No.3 has pointed out and as is also evident from the reply filed by respondent No.3 that the

petitioner remained continuously posted at the Head Office since 28.08.2000 i.e from the last 11 years and, therefore, the said transfer orders have been passed in the interest of institution and public and keeping in view the administrative exigency.
In view of the above, there is no merit in the writ petition and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.
