Having heard learned counsel for the parties, I find that the claim of the petitioner is required to be considered and disposed of in the light of the directions issued by this Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 14238 of 1991 ( Sukhdev Singh and others V. State of Punjab and others ) decided on 10.03.2010 (Annexure P-3).
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the claim of the petitioner in the light of the aforesaid decision in Sukhdev Singh's case (supra) within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
