Balwinder Singh Tiwana and Ors. Vs State of Punjab and Anr.

(1). The petitioners claim pay parity and seek consequential direction for the grant of pay scales at par with the Craft Inspectors in terms of the Government order dated 18.05.2010 (Annexure P8) w.e.f. 01.01.1986.

(2). Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners, however, without expressing any views on their entitlement, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider the writ petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioners and decide their claim in the light of the order dated 18.05.2010 (Annexure P8) issued by the Technical Education and Industrial Training Department, Government of Punjab, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

(3). Let two sets of the writ petition be furnished to the Registry for its onward transmission to the concerned Department for compliance.
