This is a petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to conduct expeditious investigation qua FIR No.37 dated 25.03.2010 registered at Police Station Dakha for offence under Sections 420, 447, 511, 506, 148 and 149 IPC with a further prayer to issue directions to respondent No.2 to hand over the investigation of the above said FIR to some higher police officer.
The limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner is that the FIR was registered way back on 25.03.2010. In spite of that, the matter has not been investigated as yet and no final report has been submitted.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Officer to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three months from the receipt of a copy of this order and submit its final report in accordance with law.
