This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case F.I.R. No.82 dated 02.10.2010 registered under Sections 489-A, 489-B, 489-C, 489-D and 420 IPC at Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur.
On 23.08.2011 the following contention was noticed:-
“Learned counsel has argued that the alleged recovery is of Rs.9 lacs of fake currency and the petitioner has been in custody since 05.10.2010.”
Learned counsel for the petitioner has further argued that the antecedents of the petitioner are clean.

On instructions from ASI Gurdial Singh learned Deputy Advocate General has accepted these factual assertions.
In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to release the petitioner on regular bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
