By this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, petitioners seek quashing of First Information Report (for short 'FIR') No.356 dated August 14^th , 2008 (Annexure P1) under Sections 323, 406, 498-A, 506/120-B of the Indian Penal Code (for short `IPC'), Police Station Ballabgarh City, District Faridabad, on the basis of compromise.

Pinky - respondent No.2/complainant, who is present in Court, has stated at bar that she has compromised the matter with the petitioners with the intervention of the relatives and friends. She has also filed her affidavit (Annexure R1) in this regard. All matrimonial disputes have been amicably settled. Having regard to the fact that all matrimonial differences have been resolved, this Court is of opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the criminal proceedings to continue against the petitioners.

In view of the above, the petition is accepted, FIR No.356 dated August 14^th , 2008 (Annexure P1) under Sections 323, 406, 498-A, 506/120-B IPC, Police Station Ballabgarh City, District Faridabad and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed.
