Petitioner being an accused in offence under Section 302 and 449 IPC allegedly made a confession regarding the murder of brother of Inderjit Singh. He has been involved in the murder case on the basis of statement of Inderjeet Singh that he had heard the petitioner talking to Manpreet Singh that he had killed the brother of Inderjeet Singh in February 2008. The statement of Inderjeet Singh was allegedly recorded on 16.08.2010 after more than two years of the occurrence. The petitioner seems to have been involved on the basis of suspicion and weak evidence.
It is an admitted fact that there is no other evidence available against the petitioner on the police file.
The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
