This petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 prays for quashing of FIR No.161 dated 10.5.2006 under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 474 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Nakodar, District Jalandhar, placed on record as Annexure P-1.
Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State, on instructions from Head Constable Hoshiar Singh, states that the investigation was concluded, cancellation report was filed and accepted by Illaqua Magistrate on 4.8.2007 and therefore, cause of action does not survive.
This petition is disposed of as infructuous on the statement of learned State counsel.
