This petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case F.I.R. No.483 dated 31.12.2010 registered under Sections 201, 409 IPC at Police Station Kotwali, Patiala.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the loss of the alleged documents. He further states that a regular inquiry in this regard is also pending.
Learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab states that its a very serious matter since the government files have been destroyed.
In my opinion, it would be in the interest of justice if the petitioner is granted concession of anticipatory bail. In the event of his arrest, the petitioner shall be released on anticipatory bail to the satisfaction of Investigating Officer subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
The petitioner is directed to report to the Investigating Officer on 22.02.2011 between 11 A.M. and 5 P.M. and thereafter as and when requires.
Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of.
