By this petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioners seek quashing of Complaint case No.261 of 2008 filed under Sections 406, 498-A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (for short 'IPC'), before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Karnal (Annexure P-1) by Neeraj Rani-respondent wife of Dharmender alias Sonu-petitioner No.1.
Grounds pleaded are that the parties have compromised the matter with the intervention of respectables and relatives. Now Neeraj Rani- respondent is leading happy married life with her husband. She has also filed affidavit and added that she has no objection if the aforesaid complaint and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
In view of the above, the petition is accepted, Complaint Case No. 261 of 2008 filed under Sections 406, 498-A and 506 IPC and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed.
