Counsel for the petitioners states that the land in dispute in this case is in the ownership of the right holders.
However the record reveals that an order had already been passed in favour of the Gram Panchayat declaring it as owner of the land in question.
Counsel for the petitioners further states that the Forest Department has laid challenge to the orders passed in favour of the Gram Panchayat and some of the right holders were also impleaded as respondents in that writ petition.

Counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw this writ petition by stating that in case any relief is granted to the right holders in that writ petition i.e. CWP No. 19887 of 1998, he may also get the same relief as in that case.
