This is a petition under section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No.360 dated 29.6.2010 under sections 406/420/467/468/471 IPC at police station Assandh District Karnal.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is in custody since 30.7.2010 and case is triable by Magistrate. Learned State counsel has opposed the prayer for bail on the ground that allegations against the petitioner are serious.
Keeping in view the fact that petitioner has been in custody for more than four months now and trial of the case may still take some time to conclude, I am of the considered view that petitioner deserves to be enlarged on bail.
