This petition has been filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.168 dated 12.7.2010, under Sections 326/ 506/ 34 and Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station Civil Line, Batala.

While issuing notice of motion, the following order was passed by this Court on 3.9.2010:-

In the meanwhile, the petitioner shall be admitted to bail bail by the Arresting Officer on furnishing

Criminal Misc. No.M-25873 of 2010(O&M) -2-

bail bonds to the tune of Rs.10,000/- and surety of equal amount to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer. ”

Learned State counsel, who is assisted by learned counsel for the complainant, on instructions from HC Avtar Singh, has submitted that the petitioner has joined investigation in terms of the order reproduced above and is not required for further investigation. It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned counsel for the complainant that parties have arrived at a compromise.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and the interim bail granted vide order dated 3.9.2010 is made absolute.
