Prayer under Section 438 Cr.P.C is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.152 dated 21.4.2010 under Sections 406/498-A IPC, P.S Kotwali, District Patiala on behalf of father-in-law of Archna Sharmadaughter of the complainant.
As per allegations in the FIR, petitioner along with his coaccused used to harass and beat the daughter of the complainant on account of bringing less dowry.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner, who is retired teacher, has joined investigation and nothing is to be recovered from him.
Learned state counsel, on instructions from ASI Sukhwinder Singh, states that the petitioner has joined investigation but certain items of

gold are yet to be recovered.
Learned counsel for the complainant, however, does not oppose the present petition on behalf of father-in-law.
In view of the above, interim protection/bail granted vide order
dated 10.5.2010 passed by this Court is made absolute.
