The petitioner, who has retired as Tubewell/Pump Operator from Municipal Council, Batala on 31.10.2008, on attaining the age of superannuation, has filed the instant petition for issuing direction to the respondents to release all the retiral benefits i.e. gratuity, commuted pension and leave encashment etc., which have not been released so far. Counsel states that in this regard, the petitioner has made a representation dated 22.7.2009, copy of which has been annexed as Annexure P-3, but till date neither the retiral benefits have been released to the petitioner nor the aforesaid representation has been considered. Counsel states that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the said representation expeditiously.

In view of the above, without issuing notice of motion as it will un-necessary delay the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 22.7.2009 (Annexure P-3) expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months.
