The husband of petitioner No.1 and father of petitioner No.2 was working as Lineman in the respondent Nigam. He died on 10.11.2001. In the year 2004, when petitioner No.2 attained majority, an application for compassionate appointment was made under the Haryana Compassionate Assistance to the Dependents of Deceased Government Employees Rules, 2003. It is the case of the petitioners that the claim of petitioner No.2 was not considered and thereafter, a legal notice dated 8.4.2009 was served upon respondent No.1, copy of which has been annexed as Annexure P-5. Counsel for the petitioners states that till date, the aforesaid legal notice has not been considered and decided and at this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.1 to decide the legal

notice, expeditiously.

In view of the above, without issuing notice of motion as it will un-necessary delay the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 8.4.2009 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months.
