This is a petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short `Cr.P.C.') for quashing of FIR No.60 dated 13.2.1999 registered under Sections 406/420/465/467/468/421/120-B IPC at Police Station Divn.No.5, Ludhiana.
Shorn of unnecessary details, it is worthwhile to mention that trial of this case is going on in which eight prosecution witnesses have already been examined.
The only argument raised by the counsel for the petitioner is that despite the charge having been framed in the year 2000, the trial is not making any headway. On that count, the FIR is being sought to be quashed on the ground of delay.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, I find it appropriate to direct the trial Court to complete the trial of this case as early as possible

preferably within a period of one year from the date of order passed by this Court.
With these directions, the present petition is disposed of.
