Harinder Kaur and Amandeep Singh-petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondent Nos. 4 and 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the marriage of the petitioners was solemnized on 18.5.2009. Certificate (Annexure P-4) in this regard has been issued by Sivananda Divine Mission (Gurukul) Regd. 67, Industrial Area, Phase I, Chandigarh. He has further submitted that the petitioners have moved a representation to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur (Annexure P-5) but no action has been taken so far.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur-respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation made by the
